Cockeysville Native Graduates from University of Maryland at Age 20 with Dual Degrees
College Park, MD — Brionn Nettles, a driven and accomplished scholar from Cockeysville, graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park at just 20 years old—earning dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology (B.S.) and Studio Art (B.A.).
Nettles’ academic journey began early. She graduated with honors from the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC) Essex at age 17, receiving an Associate of Arts in General Studies. At CCBC, she was a Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society inductee, a Mellon Scholar, and a graduate of the Honors Program.
While at the University of Maryland, Brionn distinguished herself in both research and creative work. She participated in undergraduate psychology research at UMD and Penn State, advocated for mental health awareness, taught swim lessons, and showcased her visual art in exhibitions.
