Marguerite Henry is a prolific children's author who is arguably best known for her book, "Misty of Chincoteague."

Author Susan Friedland will join the library virtually to describe her quest to uncover the story of Marguerite Henry. Spanning decades, Friedland dives into the nostalgia surrounding
Marguerite Henry’s storied career and invokes a newfound sense of wonder about the
prolific horse lover and author. Visit the library to see an exhibit on Marguerite Henry
and Wesley Dennis. Happening the same week as the pony swim at Chincoteague.
