The 2023 Class Of U.S. Gates Cambridge Scholars Has Been Selected

Twenty-three students from the United States have been selected to be Gates Cambridge Scholars for 2023. The Gates Cambridge Scholarships are among the most most prestigious awards for postgraduate study in the world.

The 23 U.S. students, who were announced last week by the Gates Cambridge Trust, will begin their studies at the University of Cambridge in October along with about 60 other new Scholars from other parts of the world who will be announced in April. The full class of 2023 will join almost 300 current Gates Cambridge Scholars already studying at Cambridge.

The U.S. Scholars-elect studied at 24 universities across the United States and beyond, including three from Washington University in St. Louis, three at Harvard University, and two at Princeton University. Four institutions produced a Gates Cambridge Scholar for the first time:
