Veterans Day 2024: Discounts, Freebies And Deals In MD
Restaurants, coffee shops and other businesses are thanking Maryland’s veterans and active-duty military personnel for their service with special Veterans Day discounts, freebies and deals. Veterans Day, which is always observed on Nov. 11, falls on Monday this year.
Some deals started this weekend. A military ID or proof of military service or veteran status is required on most deals. As always, call ahead to your local franchises for these national chains to make sure they’re participating.
Applebee’s: Veterans and active-duty military personnel who dine in receive a free meal from a select menu on Monday.
BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse: No minimum purchase is required for this deal available to former and current military personnel with a valid ID (dine-in customers only). They get a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie on Monday only, as well as a coupon good from Nov. 12-Dec. 31 for a free appetizer that can be used for dine-in or take-out orders.
Bar Louie: Veterans and active-duty military personnel with a valid ID or proof of service can get a free burger Monday and Tuesday in this dine-in-only deal.
Bob Evans: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal from a select menu on Monday (dine-in only).
Bonefish Grill: Active-duty service members and veterans with a valid ID get a complimentary order of Bang Bang Shrimp with a soft beverage on Monday.
Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.: Veterans get 20% off their meal when they dine in on Monday.
Buffalo Wild Wings: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get 10 free boneless wings and fries with a valid ID on Monday. The deal is good for both dine-in and walk-in orders placed at the counter.
California Pizza Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal from a select menu on Monday, along with a buy one, get one free offer to redeem for a pizza, pasta or salad that can be used Nov. 12-25.
Carrabba’s: Veterans and active military personnel who show a valid service ID can get an entrée when they dine-in and take home another entrée of equal or lesser value for free from Friday through Sunday. Then on Veterans Day, they can get a complimentary dine-in appetizer or dessert and non-alcoholic beverage.
Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen: Veterans and active-duty military members receive a complimentary appetizer or dessert on Monday.
Chili’s: Veterans and active-duty military members get a free meal from a select menu on Monday at all participating restaurants (dine-in only). A military ID is required to redeem the offer.
Dave & Buster’s: Veterans get a free entrée (up to $20) and a free $10 Power Card with a valid veterans ID card on Monday.
Denny’s: Veterans and active-duty military personnel showing a military Id or DD214 (certificate of discharge) receive a free Original Grand Slam breakfast from 5 a.m.-noon Monday.
Dickey’s Barbecue Pit: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free Pulled Pork Sandwich on Monday. The deal is good on in-store and online/app for carryout.
Dunkin’: Active and retired military personnel get a free doughnut on Monday while supplies last (in-store only).
Einstein Bros. Bagels: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free any-size hot or iced coffee with an in-store purchase on Monday.
Fazoli’s: On Monday, all active military and veterans can enjoy a free spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce at participating locations with proof of service when dining in or via the online code, Vet24.
Fogo de Chão: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get half off the Full Churrsaco Experience and three of their guests will receive a 10 percent discount on Monday (dine-in only).
Friendly’s: Veterans get a free All-American Burger with cheese and a beverage in a dine-in only deal from 11 .am.-5 p.m. Monday with a military ID or honorable discharge document.
Golden Corral: Veterans and military veterans eat free during the restaurant’s annual Military Appreciation Night from 5 p.m.-close Monday (dine-in only).
Gordon Biersch: With a valid military ID, veterans get 20 percent off dine-in and carry-out orders Monday.
The Greene Turtle: Veterans receive a free meal up to $15 with valid ID at participating locations on Monday (dine-in only; cannot be combined with other offers, discounts, happy hour or Greene Turtle rewards).
Hooters: On Monday, retired and active-duty military personnel who present proof of service or a military ID who purchase a beverage can get a free meal (dine-in only at participating restaurants).
Hurricane Grill & Wings: Veterans and active-duty military personnel can get a complimentary entrée from a select menu Monday (dine-in only). To claim the deal, show a valid ID or wear a military uniform.
IHOP: From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, veterans and active-duty military personnel who dine in person can get a free Red, White and Blueberry Pancake Combo.
Johnny Rockets: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free single burger with the purchase of any drink or shake on Monday (dine-in only). To claim the deal, show a military Id or wear a military uniform.
Little Caesars: From 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, veterans and active-duty military personnel can get a complimentary Lunch Combo, which includes four slides of the signature Detroit-style pizza and a 20-ounce drink.
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants: Active-duty military personnel, veterans, National Guard, Gold Star Parents, and Gold Star Spouses can enjoy a select half-priced entrée on Monday (dine-in only; must show valid ID). Reservations are strongly recommended.
Menchie’s: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get their first 6-ounce froyo free Monday when they show a valid ID card.
Mission BBQ: Veterans get a free sandwich on Monday.
MOD Pizza: Veterans and active-duty military personnel showing proof of service get a buy one, get one free MOD-size pizza or salad on Monday (in-store only).
Olive Garden: Veterans and active military personnel get a complimentary entrée from a special menu on Monday (dine-in only).
Outback Steakhouse: Active-duty military personnel and veterans get a free Bloomin’ Onion and beverage with the purchase of an adult entrée Monday (dine-in only).
Peet’s Coffee: Veterans get one free drip coffee or tea of any size on Monday at participating retail coffee bar locations (airport, supermarket and other licensed locations are excluded).
Playa Bowls: On Monday, veterans with a military ID get a free bowl (in-store only).
QDOBA: On Monday, veterans and active-duty military members showing a valid military ID at checkout receive 50 percent off any full-size entrée (dine-in only at participating locations).
Raising Cane’s: Any active or nonactive military and their spouses get 10 percent off their entire purchase on Monday when they mention the Hero Discount Program at the register. They will need to have a valid ID to receive the discount.
Red Lobster: Veterans, active-duty military personnel and reservists get free a Veteran’s Shrimp & Chip meal on Monday with a military ID or proof of service (dine-in only).
Red Robin: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a complimentary Red's Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Side when dining in at participating restaurants on Monday.
Sizzler: From opening until 4 p.m. Monday, participating locations offer a free lunch from a special menu to any active-duty military personnel and veterans.
Sonic Drive-In: On Monday, shakes of any size and flavor, including Classic and Master Shakes, are half price.
Starbucks: Veterans, military service members and their spouses get a free 12-ounce not or iced coffee Monday at participating stores and licensed locations.
TCBY: Veterans and active military personnel get their first 6-ounce frozen yogurt free at participating locations Monday with a valid military ID.
Ted’s Montana Grill: Veterans get a 10 percent military discount on Monday.
Texas Roadhouse: Active-duty military personnel and veterans can dine in or receive a meal voucher from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday with a form of military ID. The vouchers are good through May 30, 2025. Dine-in customers on Veterans Day will order from a special menu.
TGI Fridays: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free meal from a select menu from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday
Tim Hortons: Anyone in a U.S. military uniform or who presents a valid veterans ID gets a free classic doughnut Monday (in-store only).
Torchy’s Tacos: Veterans and active-duty military personnel get a free taco and drink Monday with military ID or proof of service (in-store orders only).
Twin Peaks: Veterans and active-duty service members get a free lunch from a select menu from 11 am.-3 p.m. Monday at participating restaurants.
Yard House: Veterans and active-duty military members receive a complimentary appetizer Monday.
