All proceeds raised from the golf classic will go toward the mission-driven work of the foundation and will support the 2026 BCPS Mind Over Matters Mental Health Conference.

Each year, the Tee Off for Team BCPS Golf Classic Committee selects a group of Education Champions to honor at the event. This year, the event will honor the mental health practitioners who support BCPS students, educators, and school communities.

The Foundation | Highlights

The Education Foundation of BCPS was founded on October 26, 1992, as the official 501 (c) (3) nonprofit for BCPS. The foundation board consists of a president, 1st vice president, secretary, treasurer, and vice presidents of advancement, communications, and programs and allocations. Additional board members serve as chairs and co-chairs of our committees, including those for our FUNdraising events.

BCPS is the 22nd largest school system in the nation with 110,000 students and 10,000 educators in 175 schools, centers, and programs. We are on a mission to contribute to a brighter future as a champion of the system and community through advocacy, fundraising, and programming. We believe that together, with our community partners, we can ensure that every student, educator, and school community have the resources necessary to reach their full potential.

Since 2010, the foundation has provided 579 scholarships (worth a total of $690,795) for graduating seniors pursuing post-secondary education and training. Since 2012, the foundation has awarded 643 school and office-based grants (worth a total of $1,228,341) to enhance the regular curricula. And since 2018, the foundation has operated two educator resource centers (the Exchangerees) where teachers shop for school supplies and other resources at no cost to them. The Exchangerees have served 16,526 educators and 429,676 students, distributed 89,275 books, and distributed $3,776,284 worth of resources and materials into our school communities.
