Following many years of anticipation and planning, this week marked a new beginning for Dulaney HS—the groundbreaking ceremony for a new building. It truly has been a team effort of parents, students, community leaders, educators & elected leaders to bring this plan to fruition.
Construction for the new, replacement Dulaney High School is officially underway. Once completed in 2029, the new building will increase the state-rated capacity of the school from its current 1,859 seats to 2,019 seats.

In addition to new classroom space, the new Dulaney High School will have a new gym, cafeteria, community space and outdoor learning areas. It will also be energy efficient.
BCPS Superintendent Dr. Myriam Rogers and Baltimore County Executive Katherine
Klausmeier joined members of the Board of Education of Baltimore County, the
Baltimore County Council, the Baltimore County delegation, and a member of Congress
in officially breaking ground for a new Dulaney High School replacement school.
The $298 million project involves construction of a new building on existing school property
southeast of the current campus complex and demolition of the current building to
make way for additional parking spaces and athletic fields and courts.
Once completed in 2029, the new school will increase the state-rated capacity of the
school from its current 1,859 seats to 2,019 seats and will enlarge the school’s size from
its current 240,298 square feet to a total of 358,746 square feet.
The new school will include outdoor learning spaces, a central cafeteria / multipurpose area, community spaces, additional instructional space for classrooms, and new athletic fields and courts.
