STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO BEGIN PAVEMENT REPAIR PROJECTS IN NORTHWESTERN BALTIMORE COUNTY NEXT WEEK

Expect Daytime Lane Closures on MD 128 (Butler Road) and Overnight on Butler Road Connector and Ramps to/from I-795

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin two pavement patching projects in the Reisterstown and Glyndon areas of Baltimore County next week. Work should be complete by late spring, weather permitting.

Beginning 9 a.m. Monday, March 18, contractor crews will begin a $138,000 patching project on MD 128 (Butler Road) between Worthington Hill Road and MD 30 (Hanover Pike) in Glyndon.

On weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., motorists can expect lane closures and a flagging operation.

Once that is complete, contractor crews will begin a $152,000 patching project on the Butler Road Connector (I-795/Northwest Expressway) between MD 30 and the ramps to and from I-795 north of Reisterstown. Motorists should expect overnight lane closures along this section of the Butler Road Connector Sunday through Thursday, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. the next day.

Drivers should build extra commuting time during the projects.

The pavement patching work on both state highways is part of the State Highway Administration’s highway maintenance program within Baltimore County. Contractor C.J. Miller, LLC of Hampstead will perform the work.

The State Highway Administration works hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones for our crews as well as our customers. Drivers need to stay alert, focus on driving, and look for reduced speed limits as well as other traffic pattern changes.
